Hi everyone,

With 2025 wrapping up, the committee is already hard at work planning an exciting 2026 for the Brisbane Handball Club. To help us organise teams, budgets, and logistics, we are now seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from all players (both adult and junior) for the major tournaments next year.

This helps us gauge player availability and interest, which is crucial for deciding which teams we can nominate.

Known Events for 2026
Here are the key events we are currently planning for:

1. BrisCup 2026 (Hosts)

When: 11 & 12 April 2026 (Weekend after Easter)
Where: Nissan Arena, Brisbane

Details: This is our home tournament! We plan to field an Adult Men's team and an Adult Women's team. As hosts, this is also a fantastic opportunity for our Junior Players to gain experience, and we will be looking to integrate them into the senior teams.

Format: Up to 6 men's and 4 women's teams in an open event.

2. Australian Open Club Championships

When: 27 - 31 May 2026
Where: Coffs Harbour

Details: We would like to send competitive Adult Men's and Adult Women's teams to the national championships.

3. New Zealand Club Championships

When: 10 - 13 September 2026
Where: Wellington, NZ

Details: Following a great experience this year, we are planning to return. We will be entering Adult Men's and Adult Women's teams, with clear opportunities for junior players to join and participate with the squads.

Potential Junior Competition (July School Holidays)

We are also investigating the possibility of a junior-focused competition during the July school holidays, such as the Partille Cup. This would be for teams in age groups from U10 to U16.

This will depend entirely on having sufficient interest from our junior members and families. Please make sure to indicate your child's interest for this on the EOI form so we can see if it's feasible.

Other Event Suggestions?

Are there other tournaments or events you think Brisbane Handball Club should be targeting in 2026? We are open to suggestions! Please include any ideas you have in the final section of the EOI form.
